I am so glad you're here! I have been obsessed with health and nutrition for most of my life and I finally decided I needed to find out the truth about nutrition instead of constantly jumping from one fad diet to another with so much contradicting information. Now, I am a certified Nutrition Consultant and I want to take you on the same journey that helped me take control of my health without restricting, counting, or stressing. I know this will help you too and I look forward to going on this journey with you!

Why is your diet NOT working???


One of the most common misconceptions women have when it comes to weight loss is that they need to follow highly restrictive diets or eliminate entire food groups to achieve their goals. This belief often leads to:


1. Unsustainable Eating Patterns 

  - Extreme calorie restriction or cutting out carbohydrates, fats, or other essential nutrients can be difficult to maintain long-term. This often results in yo-yo dieting, where weight is lost and then regained repeatedly.


2. Nutritional Deficiencies

  - Eliminating whole food groups can lead to deficiencies in essential vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients necessary for overall health. For example, cutting out carbohydrates entirely can result in a lack of fiber and important B vitamins.


3. Sh!tty Relationship with Food

  - Restrictive diets can foster an unhealthy relationship with food, leading to feelings of guilt, anxiety, and obsession over eating. This can increase the risk of developing disordered eating patterns.


4. Metabolic Slowdown

  - Severe calorie restriction can slow down metabolism as the body adapts to conserve energy. This can make weight loss more difficult and can cause weight regain once normal eating patterns are resumed.


5. Loss of Muscle Mass

  - Inadequate protein intake or extreme calorie deficits can lead to muscle loss, which negatively impacts metabolism and overall body composition.


6. Ignoring Individual Needs

  - Restrictive diets often do not take into account individual differences in metabolic rate, activity level, health conditions, and personal preferences, leading to a one-size-fits-all approach that is ineffective for many people.


Instead of following restrictive diets, a more sustainable approach focuses on balanced, nutrient-dense eating, listening to hunger and fullness cues, and incorporating physical activity in a way that is enjoyable and manageable. This approach supports long-term health and well-being rather than short-term, often temporary, weight loss.
